Effective 15 Aug 2022, all unvaccinated and vaccinated travelers are permitted to enter the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. This includes citizens, residents, and international travelers. Travelers are NOT required to present a negative COVID-19 test, show proof of vaccination, or quarantine upon arrival into the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. 

Yes we love to welcome families to Golden Rock. Children under 12 years stay for free in the parents room. For children over 12 years we have an additional charge of $50 USD per night.

Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12pm. We will try our best to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out. 

Golden Rock is set on a steep incline, half way up Nevis peak at 1000ft altitude. The grounds are very uneven and include several steps, which would make it difficult for anyone with reduced mobility. 

Yes we do have both cribs & cots available. There is no additional fee for this service. 

Yes we do have free Wi-Fi throughout the property, including the restaurant, pool area and the rooms & patio. Please note that due to the remote location of Nevis service can be intermittent on occasion.

A 50% deposit of your entire stay is required upon booking your reservation.  This deposit is fully refundable up until 7 days of your arrival date. The remaining balance will be collected upon arrival at the hotel.  For no shows or cancelations within 7 days of your arrival date 100% of the entire stay will be charged to your payment method.

Your final bill will incur an additional 12 % VAT & tourism levy and a 12% service charge.

There is no ATM on site. The closest one is at Best Buy supermarket, which can be reached by a 5 minute car ride.

Dress code is resort casual. Cover ups are preferred when entering the restaurant area. 

Unfortunately pets are not allowed.

We do not have a spa or a gym on property. However we work with several massage therapists who can accommodate treatments in the comfort of your room/patio or by the pool. Private or group yoga sessions can be arranged upon request. The closest gym is in Charlestown and guests of Golden Rock have complimentary access.   

Yes, non-hotel guests are welcome to have meals at our restaurant. Reservations are preferred but walkins are accepted depending on availability. 

The garden area around the restaurant is accessible for our patrons. However the gardens around the pool area and guest cottages are not accessible in order to respect the privacy of our hotel guests. 

Nevis is a great destination yearound. The cooler months are December through April when temperature drops no lower than 72F/22C. From May through November Nevis will get a bit warmer with highs of 88F/31C. Golden Rock is fortunate to be located facing the windward side and gets a constant breeze year round. Traditionally in the winter months the weather will be mostly beautiful with sunny blue skies. In the summer and fall months there is more of a possibility for we might have days with constant rain showers mixed in with sunny days. 

The closest beach is Herbet’s beach and it is a 10 minute ride away. We are happy to organize a transfer for you.

Nevis Heritage Village is a 5 minute drive away, where you can visit a former sugar cane estate, see replicas of homes from different time period & learn more about the history of Nevis. 

The closest one is at Best Buy supermarket, a 5 minute car ride away. 

If you wish to explore the island on your own time we recommend renting a car. Otherwise it is not necessary. We drive on the left side of the road on Nevis. 

Yes, secure overnight parking is available and there is no additional charge. 

Yes we work with a bike rental company who will deliver your bicycle to the hotel. Mopeds are also available. Please note that the area around Golden Rock is very hilly, thus making it very difficult to bike around the hotel.  However, guests often bike around town..

Our very own The Rocks Restaurant at Golden Rock has been consistently ranked as the number 1 dining experience on the island of Nevis and we ensure that all guests staying with us have a guaranteed table each night of their stay. However we have a few favorites around the island: Banana’s Bistro, which is a cozy tree house-like restaurant nestled on a banana plantation. Montpelier’s hotel restaurant is also a favorite on the island which offers nice sunset views. For an authentic Caribbean experience we recommend Sunshine’s on Pinney’s beach, which offers grilled whole fish or BBQ ribs. Many other recommendations are available based on your preferences.

Several hotels or restaurants offer weekly theme nights with live entertainment. Please check with our front desk agent what is scheduled during your stay. 

We work with a few selected drivers on the island. Booking 30 minutes in advance is suggested. 

Yes, US dollars are accepted islandwide. The local Eastern Caribbean dollar is also used and the fixed exchange rate is 2.7EC = 1 USD.
